Mully’s Brewery

Located in Prince Frederick, Mully’s Brewery opened in 2013 and is a quaint family run business. The location is off the beaten path, but offers up outdoor seating and an indoor bar with tables in the actual tasting room. You can order beer flights if you want to sample or fill a growler. Some of their unique concoctions include the Brunch Crunch, which is a golden ale with cinnamon and coffee, a blood orange blonde, and a hop passion, which is a double IPA with pineapple and passion fruit. Food trucks frequent the brewery and board games are available for your entertainment. Calvert Brewing Company

With locations in both Prince George’s and Calvert Counties, Calvert Brewing Company is one of Maryland’s largest and most established craft breweries. The setting of the beer garden is in the Running Hare Vineyard, so it’s quite picturesque. They have rotating food trucks in case you want to snack while tasting their brews. Their beers on tap include several IPAs, a tart ale, a golden lager, and an imperial stout, all of which you can sample via flight, pint, or growler.

Scorpion Brewing Co.

Scorpion Brewing Co. is a small microbrewery located in the heart of Calvert County. The brewery has limited indoor seating but has a large courtyard with a fire pit for you to enjoy. The beers on tap rotate and they’re constantly coming up with new concoctions. Depending on the day, you may find their all-grain Belgian brown called the Treaty of Ghent, their London style ESB, or their Oars Out Stout. They don’t have food, but you’re free to bring your own snacks and enjoy their live music every Thursday night.

Ruddy Duck Brewery and Grill

Ruddy Duck Brewery and Grill has two locations, one in Solomons and one on St. George Island. If you’re looking for a brewery with a delicious food menu, this is your place. The ambiance is that of a traditional restaurant with plenty of seating, and brunch is served on Sundays as well. The beers on tap are creative and tasty – some beer options are the Knuckle Dragger, which is a smooth and creamy oatmeal stout with a hint of chocolate, a blueberry ale, an apricot wheat, or the good Olde Ruddy, which they claim is an ordinary bitter English ale.

Eastern Shore Brewing

This eclectic brewery has a basement bar vibe with plenty of seating inside and out, as well as old school bar games such as shuffleboard, darts, and foosball. This neighborhood bar is dog friendly and very relaxed. With ten years of brewing experience, they’re proud to be the oldest brewery on the Eastern shore. Food is limited to bar snacks, but you’re welcome to bring in food from another establishment or from home. The beers on tap include their year round beers such as their Soul Patch pale ale, St. Michaels amber ale, and the Back Creek Blonde. Seasonal beers include choices such as the Duck Duck Goose porter, the Blue Heron coffee porter, and the Getting Lucky, which is described as similar to an Irish coffee dessert stout.
