Whether it’s paying for a few cuts in advance from your local hairdresser or buying a class card from your favorite yoga studio, paying now for services you can use later on is a perfect way to support your local small businesses.

Again, with holiday shopping season approaching, local shops need their communities now more than ever. So many businesses survive because of the holiday season, and there’s no question that this year’s going to look different. Don’t let that push you mindlessly to the major online retailers, though. Sure, they might be able to ship a bit faster or save you a couple of dollars, but seeing which of your favorite local shops have online stores allows you to help them stay afloat.
